The TabletPCBuzz.com forums are buzzing (sorry, couldn't resist) about the reported appearance of an IBM-branded Tablet PC. It sounds like an interesting addition to the mix - essentially a 12" ThinkPad with a battery slice in the same price range as as the new Toshiba R15 offering ($1500). This would be a great thing for the TPC market - a lot of people have been waiting for an entry from IBM or Dell to "validate" the Tablet PC. Of course, I don't need that validation - Toshiba, HP, Motion, Averatec, Fujitsu, and others in the space have already produced a rich and diverse set of options that have steadily improved. Still.. the ThinkPad line is terrific and a TPC version would be most welcome.
