Something good will come of this, I'm sure. Microsoft has launched a contest to see who can develop the coolest
PowerToy for OneNote. If the results are anything like
those generated by the "Does Your App Think in Ink?" contest that gave Tablet PC users ArtRage, OneNote users are in
for some treats.
What is a PowerToy you ask? The site says:
"It's a way to make programs work even harder for you. For developers, PowerToys are simply self-installing add-on
code that enhances the value and performance of a program. The PowerToy that you submit for OneNote will be an original
work product developed by you without the use of or inclusion of code from other sources, open source or
otherwise."
The prize is a Toshiba Portege M200 Tablet PC. Five of them will be awarded. Even if you (like me) aren't a developer
or don't plan to submit code, you can still register for a chance to win a sixth unit so definitely check out the
contest pages which feature a very nicely implemented OneNote-style navigation tab set.
