UPDATE: Based on some great fact checking by Lora Heiny and Robert McLaws, it turns out this post, in its original form, is almost certainly not right. The title has been edited and I've added this text. The M200 (and the Tecra M4) use a G-Force Go 5200 mobile video processor which will apparently not have the juice required to produce Glass effects.
Looks like it's time for one (or more) of the OEMs to raise the ante on video support before we'll have a truly Vista-ready Tablet PC.
nVidia, makers of the G-Force video card in my Toshiba Portege M200 Tablet PC says that, if I install their new
ForceWare driver (currently in alpha), I'll get 32-bit Glass UI effects. Of course this is purely theoretical as I
don't have Vista to try it on and even if I did, I don't have a spare Tablet PC lying around to try it out on.
Still, if you have an nVidia graphics card in your PC (Tablet or otherwise) here's a
list of their products that will support the full
Glass experience.
Learn more about what's required to get the Glass effect
here.
Hat tip to
Andre.

1. Yeah, it doesn't work on the M4 yet. I've heard that it doesn't work on most GeForce Go cards because of scaling issues. I'm going to try to find out more about it later this week...
